Watch a scene from "The Walking Dead's" first episode

AMC has provided a small glimpse into their new series “The Walking Dead” with a five minute clip from the first episode, “Days Gone Bye.” Check it out after the jump.

The scene features Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes waking up from a coma to find that the world has changed drastically.

Based on the Image comic series of the same name by Robert Kirkman and Tony Moore, “The Walking Dead” also stars Jon Bernthal, Sarah Wayne Callies and Laurie Holden.

The show is being developed for television by Frank Darabont—who also directed “The Shawshank Redemption” and “The Green Mile”—Darabont directed the first episode and wrote the script for the first three episodes of the six episode season.

“The Walking Dead” premieres this Sunday at 10 p.m. during AMC’s “Fearfest” horror movie marathon.
