First look of Chris Evans as Captain America

Marvel has released the first official image of Chris Evans as Captain America, which will be featured on the cover of November's issue of Entertainment Weekly. Check out my thoughts on the costume and the cover itself after the jump.
While I'm not a fan of the Photoshop job that's been done on Evans, his hair looks more brown but in set photos it looks blond. I have to say, he looks pretty good as Cap despite not wearing the mask—which is understandable since they want to sell copies of the magazines by showing his face.

While it’s not a full shot of him in the costume, it looks way better than the photos that were leaked online months ago showing a somewhat portly stuntman in the suit.

In addition to seeing Evans in Cap’s costume, there’s also a good look at the iconic shield.

Directed by Joe Johnston and starring Chris Evans as Steve Rogers aka Captain America and Hugo Weaving as the Red Skull, "Captain America: The First Avenger," which is still in production, is scheduled to be released on July 22, 2011.
